Break The Barriers

Every individual has the capacity to overcome challenges and break one’s own mental barriers. As Michael Jordan says, “Obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.”
A prime example is that of the egg. Imagine what happens when we apply force to an egg. There are two types of force that we can apply to it – external & internal. When we apply external force – life ends and the egg is smashed.
While on application of internal force, which comes from within, Life emerges – the little chick breaks its first barrier and good things happen – its sees light. The chick propels itself out of its comfort zone using an internal force. Great things always happen when the force comes from within. This is the basis of all psychological theories which say motivation starts from the inside.
There are 4 philosophies in life which can help a person energize their internal force:
Philosophy No. 1
Don’t Enter – Make an Entry
We enter the world and exit it and in between is the most beautiful thing called Life. Life is beautiful even if you can’t see its beauty all the time.
Own your Life because it’s the only one you have. Do all the things you want to do and more. Don’t let the obstacles put you down and stop you from conquering your life and loving every second of it.
Embrace every single thing life has to offer because your life will not be the same tomorrow or in the next hour. Take in life while you can because it’s really too wonderful to miss. Embrace your life as you only live once.

Philosophy No. 2
Power of +1 (Plus One)
The power of Plus One is the power of marginal improvement. While we cannot change the beginning of life, if we decide to do something different and better every day, we can change the ending with the power of Plus One.
Become a better person every day. A marginal daily difference can totally change the ending. You need to ask yourself two important questions – Am I stretching and am I developing? Also three key words – Passion, Purpose & Engagement play an important role while making a decision towards change.
Passion – I want to do something,
Purpose – What is it that I want to do, and
Engagement – How will I go about doing it?
The process of Metamorphosis is a change which literally means ‘to make or do something in a different manner to get a new result or transform’. Becoming a better caterpillar is a change.
But when it becomes a butterfly, there is a transformation. And this transformation happens because of the constant pluses.
Magic happens when we move from the transactional phase to the transformational.
We enter the world and exit it, and in between is the most beautiful thing called Life.
Life is beautiful even if you can’t see its beauty all the time. Own your Life because it’s the only one you have.
Philosophy No. 3
Flight, Fright or Fight
You must learn to fight all the negativity around you and stay focused on your goals rather than be afraid or run away.
There are a few people whose entire motivation in life is to reduce others’ happiness.
To deal with such individuals you must use the 3-finger technique by asking yourself 3 questions – Who, Why & What.
If you don’t ask yourself these 3 questions you will never be able to get the answers and appreciate the rationale behind the person’s actions and words.
In any difficult situation, it takes rationality and strength to fight your way through but victory is the prize for only the brave.
Philosophy No. 4
Triangle of Life
This is the most crucial lesson to evolve and enjoy life. The triangle of life includes 3 aspects – the first is having lots of fun with people, the second is knowledge & expertise which can never be taken away, and the third is to inspire others and get inspired.
When these 3 meet at a fantastic intersection, we get a sweet spot and that’s when we break the barriers. Just remember, in life if Plan A fails you still have 25 other letters in the dictionary.
Motivation in itself is not enough to sustain yourself – what is required is a 24 by 7 mindset, energy and commitment to your goal.
